Using the Action Center

The Action Center is your hub for everything that needs your attention in Glacis — action items from workflows, tasks awaiting approval, and AI-assisted items where an agent has drafted something for you to review. This page covers how to navigate and act on items in the Action Center.

Where to find it

The Action Center is on my main dashboard, the Control Tower. The action center contains Action Items - which are items you need to act on or, guide the AI to achieving an outcome.

Additionally, action items show up directly in context — on order detail pages, shipment pages, and in your task list. When you're viewing a record that has pending action items, you'll see them alongside tasks, emails, and documents.

You can also access all your pending items from the Tasks section in the sidebar, which includes action items alongside regular tasks.

Action item cards

Each action item in the Action Center shows:

  • Title — what needs your attention

  • Related context — the order, email, or record it relates to

  • Impact — what records are affected

You have two options on each card:

  • View — open the action item to review details and interact with the AI agent

  • Dismiss — remove the item from your Action Center

Dismissing an action item

When you click Dismiss, a confirmation dialog appears:

"You are about to dismiss the following action item: [task title]"

What happens when you dismiss:

  • The action item will be marked as cancelled

  • The action item will be removed from your Action Center

  • This action cannot be easily undone

Click Yes, Dismiss to confirm, or Cancel to go back.

Tip: Only dismiss items you're sure don't need action. If you're unsure, click View first to understand what the AI has prepared.

Working through action items

The typical flow for an action item:

  1. An item appears in your Action Center (created by a workflow).

  2. Click View to open it.

  3. Review the AI agent's work — a drafted email, extracted data, or recommendation.

  4. Interact with the agent if needed (ask for changes, provide context).

  5. Approve or Reject the result.

  6. The workflow continues based on your decision.

For more on interacting with AI agents, see Working with AI-Assisted Tasks.

Productivity bar

On record detail pages (orders, shipments), you'll see a productivity bar with quick-access buttons:

  • Tasks — shows task count for this record

  • Emails — shows email count

  • Documents — shows document count

Click any button to open a panel with the relevant items. This lets you handle action items without leaving the record you're working on.
